Panha Van has been a legal adviser in the field of global mobility since 2015. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Law from the University of Rennes 1, France. Immediately after graduation, he worked at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, as General Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Ambassador from 2015 to 2017. During his diplomatic career, he was responsible for consular affairs and actively participated in the development of the bilateral relations between Cambodia and the United Nations. His most significant achievement was the successful extension of the Memorandum of Understanding between Cambodia and the UNOHCHR for the implementation of a technical cooperation program in the field of human rights in Cambodia.

Since 2017, he has been working as an In-House-Lawyer in the Global Mobility field in various international consulting firms. He has developed his career as an immigration expert specialising in the Swiss Federal Act on Foreigners and Integration (FNIA), in the Agreement of Free Movement of Persons (AFMP) between Switzerland and the EU, and in the EU Posted Workers Directive. In the last 5 years, he has been responsible for contract management and provided legal advice on assignment agreements, commercial agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements and investment agreements by ensuring local compliance with international legal requirements.

Panha Van has continued his education and graduated from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in 2021 with a CAS in Global Mobility Management. This expanded his expertise in a wide range of legal areas: Labour and Immigration Law, Freedom Movement of Persons, Corporate Law, as well as International Social Security and Tax Law.

In addition, Panha Van is also a specialist in labour law issues as well as assignment policy and strategy. He has successfully managed global mobility projects for multiple Swiss and International companies in more than 30 countries across the globe.
